Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles.   • Hours: 33.3 hours per week
  • Shift pattern: Mon-Fri 0800-1800

About the Department

Vale of Leven theatre unit comprises 3 operating theatres, a minor operating room, and an 8-bed recovery area. It provides care for various surgical specialties including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery. The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities, supported by the perioperative education team.

Candidate Requirements
  • Current NMC/HCPC registration
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to learn
  • Extensive knowledge in perioperative practice with evidence of CPD
  • Willing to extend skills and knowledge in perioperative care
  • Ability to take charge of the unit as a Band 6 in the absence of the SCN
  • Flexibility to work within a 5-day service and engage in multi-site working across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
