Overview

Join Sodexo as a Finance Assistant – Where Precision Meets Purpose. Location: Hybrid – split between Home & Data Centre, 320 Broadway, Salford, Manchester, M50 2UE. Days/Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday. Working Hours: Standard business hours (40 hours per week; 8 hours per day, flexible between 8.30am and 6pm). Salary: Competitive, with excellent benefits. We’re looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our State Schools Finance Hub. In this role, you’ll help keep our financial processes running smoothly, support multiple school sites, and contribute to the success of a team that values collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Co-ordinator with daily finance tasks and ongoing projects.
  • Manage and process purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Support cashless and cash-in-transit reconciliations.
  • Manage project sales invoices and pricing amendments in master files.
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and maintain smooth communication.
  • Collaborate with commercial finance teams on client investment and CapEx orders.
  • Help compile SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Provide support to Hub Administrators when needed.
  • Contribute to yearly audit preparation and compliance checks.
  • Respond promptly to queries through shared mailboxes, ensuring service excellence.
