We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the BHF Cardiovascular Biomarker Laboratory.
A research technician position is available for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the BHF Cardiovascular Biomarker Laboratory led by Prof Nick Mills. The applicant will support the various activities of the lab, including human sample collection, processing, sample analysis, quality assurance, equipment maintenance and organisation of sample storage and inventory.
The post holder will be working closely with the Facility Manager (line manager) and with Professor Mills’ multidisciplinary team: the Clinical Research Programme Manager, Clinical Research Fellows, Research Nurses and Research administrators to support the delivery of a diverse programme of research.
The post holder will establish and maintain flexible and productive working relationships with a range of internal and external contacts, including other technicians, postdoctoral staff, students and management within Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences and with other groups within the CMVM and external collaborators.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), initially for 12 months, with the potential for extension subject to funding availability.
