IT Business Systems Manager | Huntingdon | £40k - £45k per annum

Hours: 40 hours usually Monday-Friday. This is not a hybrid role; you will be based in the offices 5 days per week.

HG Recruitment is partnering with a respected and long-standing Manufacturing client in Huntingdon. You will work closely with business superusers and senior stakeholders across the business. The Business Systems Manager will cover a wide breadth and depth, working alongside a small multi-skilled team. You will have experience leading at least 2 of the following with implementation and ongoing support: ERP, MRP, WMS, or EDI systems support and implementation. Essential experience includes BPM (business process modelling), mapping as-is and to-be processes, basic SQL, Power BI or legacy report writing, using Jira, writing test scripts, and training super-users. Prior experience in the FMCG sector (likely Food, Prepared Food, Fresh Produce, or Flowers) is beneficial. This is an opportunity to utilise your experience to deliver business transformation.

• Work as part of the wider team delivering transition and change within MM Flowers business units.
• Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Keep the lights on with legacy but critical systems as we go through our digital transformation.

• Ensure software is released defect-free to agreed timescales within change control.
• Deliver high-quality end user documentation.
• Ensure super-users understand their roles and develop the super-user role to maximise value back into the systems.
• Consult with Senior Management for new features, write robust specifications, and collaborate with suppliers on deliverables within the timeframe for a single phase or phased approach with Senior Management approval.

• Support the entire life cycle of critical ERP and WMS solutions including discovery, design, build, test and data management.
• Identify, challenge, and agree the business benefits achievable through digital transformation.
• Define and document the as-is and to-be core business processes and map end-to-end business journeys.
• Define, set up and execute test cases.
• Assist in delivering the data strategy to unlock the value of data across the application portfolio by making the right data available to the right people at the right time.
• Ensure applications cost-effectively meet the needs of the business.
• Work with the team to develop the strategy for the application portfolio, engaging stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide platforms that enable growth.
• Analyse the impact of expected outcomes on ERP & WMS applications in terms of people, processes and technologies to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert and point of escalation for the business systems estate.

• At least 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Delivering related projects within a fast-paced, medium-sized organisation.
• Experience working in a controlled environment with a drive to continuously improve.
• Deliver solutions within the appropriate framework and methodology while ensuring the supportability of services delivered.
