A leading logistics recruiter based in the UK is seeking a Class 1 Driver for general haulage across the UK. This role offers competitive pay at £17.50 per hour. Responsibilities include driving a curtain sider truck, conducting daily vehicle checks, and customer engagement during deliveries. Candidates must hold a Class 1 licence for at least 2 years, along with a CPC and Tacho card. Immediate starts and ongoing work are available.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Class 1 licence for at least 2 years.
- CPC and Tacho card are mandatory.
- No more than 6 points on driving license.
Responsabilités
- Drive Class 1 curtain sider truck for general haulage.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report issues.
- Engage with customers during deliveries.
Connaissances
Pay: Day Shift, Monday to Friday £17.50 per hour (Overtime available).
Immediate starts available with ongoing work available through January.
Shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday (Weekends available)
- Varied start times from 4am
- 10 - 12 hour shifts
Description:
- General haulage across UK – usually imports
- Driving Class 1 curtain sider truck
- 1 – 2 drops / collections per day
- Deliveries to customers across whole of UK
- Stripping down of trailers
- Daily vehicle checks – reporting any issues
- Customer facing role with each drop
Skills / Qualification:
- Held Class 1 licence for 2+ years
- CPC and Tacho card
- No more than 6 points
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
