The role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance on high-volume production machinery, requiring proven experience in FMCG and strong mechanical and electrical expertise. Skills
Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer seeking a time-served Maintenance Technician with a strong background in high volume manufacturing to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume production facility by carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic air compressed machinery. There will also be some PLC Fault Finding involved.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption and maximize output.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety.
- Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades as required.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer within an FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts or weekends if required.
