Salary: £43,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, Dayshift (Early Friday finish)

Location: Ayrshire

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to support a team of engineers while remaining hands‑on. This role offers a 70/30 split between engineering work and team/department support and includes involvement in key maintenance and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day support, guidance, and coordination for the engineering team.
  • Contribute to maintenance planning and departmental decision making.
  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults and deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Lead mechanical repairs, inspections, overhauls, and equipment changeovers.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
