Integral are looking for a general maintenance engineer to join our engineering term at Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. We are looking for an individual, with a broad understanding of building services and experience, with a calm manner that engenders a sense of trust with the clients and the rest of the site team. Specific experience at a day-to-day operational level to suit the environment.

• Ability to fault find and rectify.
• To support the contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day to day engineering & other contract issues
• Deal with and resolve problematic persistent recalls.
• Undertake quality control checks on both reactive & PPM tasks
• An ability to communicate with others effectively; this will include clients and end users.
• To have a flexible approach to working times so as to suit the client & business requirements.
• Respond to emergency situations in both normal & OOH working times
• Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice
• Other duties as requested by the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region.
• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the relevant manager.
• Duties will include carrying out various non‑specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
• To close / update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
• To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
• Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain accurate site records / documentation in association with all site works.
• To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call‑outs / repairs as required, and requested by management.
• Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
• Keep and maintain all company‑issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
• To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
• Complete any other associated task requested by the management and as dictated within the operational scope of PFI / LIFT contracts.

• Previous experience within the Building Services Sector
• Current Full UK driving licence
• A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices
• Flexible approach to work.
