Job Title: Platform Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Across UK

Type: Fully remote

Contract: under Inside IR35

Platform BTP, Gardner, IAS Development Engineer

1. University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. 6+ years of technical professional experience.
3. In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS required.
4. Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (Open Stack) is a major plus.
5. Understanding of deployment automation and tools e.g. Ansible, Chef.
6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform preferred.
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines e.g. ArgoCD (preferred), GitLab CI/CD (preferred), Jenkins.
8. Experience with Monitoring e.g. Dynatrace, CloudWatch.
9. Experience with Logging e.g. Splunk (preferred), Elasticsearch, Logstash.
10. Experience with Cloud Networking tools e.g. AWS VPCs (preferred), VNet, Google VPC.
11. In-depth experience in technologies used for deploying and managing Cloud-native applications:
1. Container Orchestration tools e.g. Gardener (preferred), Kubernetes, Docker.
2. Helm charts.
3. Repository management e.g. Artifactory (preferred), JFrog (preferred).
4. Service management tools e.g. Consul (preferred), Zookeeper.
12. Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub.
13. Scripting background e.g. PowerShell, Python (preferred).
14. Security best practices including hardened containers and images (STIG).
15. Experience with Security tools e.g. Hashicorp Vault (preferred), GitHub Secrets.
16. Database knowledge like SAP HANA.
17. Expertise with OS e.g. Linux, RHEL.
18. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
19. Knowledge of SAP and the SAP solution portfolio is a plus.
