A local council in Greater London is seeking a Technical Trading Standards Officer to protect consumers and promote fair trading. In this varied role, you will be responsible for investigating complaints, conducting inspections, and advising businesses on compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Trading Standards qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a regulatory role. The Assurance and Public Protection directorate ensures democratic accountability of council services. The directorate work together to monitor and ensure compliance and provide assurance of Barnet being an engaged and effective council that protects the public purse. They provide enforcement services that engage and protect residents and businesses to support a safer and healthier borough.
