Reporting into the Mechanical Team Leader, you will be part of a team maintaining and repairing plumbing issues on site - ensuring compliance with the Gas Safety regulations for the site-wide commercial gas-fired installations and associated heating and hot water installations, building services plant and equipment. The role will see you based full-time on a large MoD PFI contract near Watford.

What you’ll do:

• Perform PPM, statutory compliance tasks, and reactive works investigations/repairs.
• Service, test, diagnose, and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to building services plant and equipment.
• Carry out tasks associated with L8 compliance for the prevention and control of legionella risks.
• Liaise and assist with other services as necessary for efficient work delivery, workmanship, and productivity to meet performance standards.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance tasks, and reactive works investigations/repairs on gas-fired systems on site.
• Participate in the site on-call rota out of hours as required by the Line Manager.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognized apprenticeship) with a mechanical or building services bias.
• Proven plumbing experience.
• Working knowledge of other building services and trades.
• Ability to meet the Client security clearance minimum requirements (SC).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance of at least SC level, with UK residency for the past 5 years.

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may require a higher level of National Security Vetting. Certain clearance levels or specific projects/sites have UK residency requirements; dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Applicants not meeting residency requirements may be ineligible for this role.
