About the Role

Applicants are invited to apply for the above post within the Translational Cardiovascular Therapeutic group (Ken Suzuki laboratory) within the Centre for Microvascular Research, Faculty of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Prof Suzuki’s interdisciplinary laboratory conducts a range of translational research to develop advanced stem cell therapy for heart failure, studies of reparative macrophages, post-operative adhesions, etc. The project involves exciting cutting-edge translational research in tissue-repairing macrophages. You are expected to have sufficient experience and knowledge in in vivo models. This challenging project offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in this area within an internationally competitive laboratory. The work will be based at the William Harvey Research Institute (Charterhouse Square Campus, London), which has a strong record in preclinical and clinical therapeutic development and recent expansion in cardiovascular research.

About You

The successful candidate should hold a postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification (PhD, MD) in medicine, medical research, or life sciences. Demonstrable experience and skills in in vivo procedures, creation of disease models, with an appropriate publication record for the career stage, are essential.

The project will be conducted at the William Harvey Research Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, a world-leading centre in translational medical research. All necessary facilities and equipment are available within the institute.
