Lead with impact. Shape the future of two respected practices on the North Norfolk coast.
Are you an experienced and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon who’s ready for a role with real influence?
We’re seeking a Director of Practice & Clinical Services to provide clinical leadership, people development and strategic direction across two well-established, community‑centred practices: Miramar Vets in Sheringham and Glaven Vets in Holt & Wells‑next‑the‑Sea.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader who enjoys balancing high‑quality clinical work with shaping culture, standards and growth at practice level—without the pressure of out‑of‑hours and with flexible working to support your lifestyle.
This is a senior leadership position where your decisions genuinely shape how we deliver care. You will have protected time dedicated to leadership, mentoring and strategic work, rather than trying to fit it in around consultations. You’ll benefit from the support of experienced Practice Managers and an engaged regional operations team, and you’ll have the opportunity to influence clinical excellence, team wellbeing and the future direction of our practices. Your voice will be heard, valued and backed by a supportive leadership structure. All of this comes with the added benefit of a North Norfolk lifestyle, with beaches, countryside and vibrant coastal towns right on your doorstep.
In this hybrid leadership and clinical role, you will set and maintain high clinical and professional standards across both sites, champion evidence‑based medicine and encourage continuous development. You will also provide senior clinical support, case guidance and oversight. Developing people will be central to your work as you mentor and coach vets, RVNs and support teams, helping to build a positive, collaborative and learning‑focused culture, while playing a key role in recruitment, onboarding and retention.
Strategically, you will work alongside Practice Managers to help shape the future of both practices. You will support the development of clinical protocols and compliance, and contribute to business planning, service development and initiatives that enhance the client experience. Clinical work will still form part of your week, but your leadership responsibilities will be fully supported with protected time.
You are an MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical abilities, experienced in leading teams or ready to step confidently into a senior leadership role. You communicate well, thrive on supporting the growth of others, and are passionate about delivering excellent care and driving improvements. You bring curiosity, commercial awareness and a desire to influence the direction of the practice. If developing people, elevating standards and working collaboratively energise you, this role is likely to feel like home.
Miramar Vets in Sheringham is a friendly, modern and forward‑thinking practice with excellent facilities, a loyal client base and a supportive, close‑knit team. Glaven Vets in Holt and Wells‑next‑the‑Sea is a well‑rooted community practice with a dedicated and fun team, a varied caseload—including wildlife—and a strong commitment to local animal care. Together, these practices offer diversity, autonomy and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
If you’re motivated by clinical excellence, passionate about developing people and excited by the opportunity to guide two respected practices into their next chapter, we would love to hear from you. Join us at Miramar & Glaven Vets—where leadership meets heart, and community meets clinical excellence.
We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from
