Are you a compassionate and experienced nurse ready to lead with purpose?

We’re looking for a dedicated Ward Sister to manage a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants within our In‑Patient Unit working alongside our band 6 charge nurses to support our IPU Ward at our Glasgow Hospice. You’ll play a key role in delivering and coordinating high‑quality, person‑centred palliative care, while supporting the Nurse Manager in fostering a positive and professional working environment.

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision
• Support the development of junior staff
• Contribute to local and national quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain a significant clinical caseload

What we’re looking for:

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
• Proven experience at Band 5 level in caring for patients with specialist palliative care needs (hospice, hospital or community settings)
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current palliative care practices
• A compassionate, person‑centred approach to care
