We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our adult Community Learning Disability Team in Norwich.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including psychology, nursing, dietetics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy. We provide holistic, person-centred, and targeted support for adults with learning disabilities living in Norwich.

Under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, the assistant psychologist will contribute to service user assessments, including risk assessments, and carry out direct interventions. You will also contribute to audit and research activities and develop research skills.

• A good first degree in psychology (Honours Degree, minimum 2:1), accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Excellent organisational and team working skills.
• Interest in developing psychological knowledge within a learning disability service.
• Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including developmental disorders and mental illness.
• Experience communicating with clients with severe comprehension and expression limitations.
• Experience across various care settings: outpatient, inpatient, community, residential.
• Good knowledge of psychological theories, assessments, and theory.
• Knowledge of cognitive-behavioural therapy or counselling models.
• Proficiency in Positive Behaviour Support, psychological assessment, research methods, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in keyboard skills, word processing, internet, and email use.
