Daytime Healthcare is assisting a STEM Day Nursery in Cambridge to find a Pre School Room Leader to join their team.

• To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children.
• To safeguard children and promote their welfare and safety.
• To inspire outstanding practice, share knowledge of children's care, learning, and development, and support team members within their immediate room and the wider nursery.

• Support colleagues with the knowledge and skills required to work effectively with children aged 0-24 months, 24-36 months, and 37-59 months.
• Apply specific training, knowledge, and skills to work effectively with children in these age groups.
• Follow and lead the curriculum policy, monitor the effectiveness of practice, and deliver high-quality STEM experiences daily.

• Support and facilitate in-the-moment planning and continuous provision, preparing and completing activities indoors and outdoors tailored to children's individual responses and next steps.
• Conduct room and outdoor checks according to nursery procedures.
• Ensure children are collected by someone known and agreed upon by the nursery and parents.
• Assist with cleaning and changing children as needed.

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, typically working 4 long days from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The day off varies on a 4-day week schedule. When working 5 days, hours are usually 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

• Valid paediatric first aid certificate.
• At least 2 years of nursery experience.
• A Level 3 qualification in childcare.
