Randstad C&P are working with a Global FM client to onboard a Mobile Mechanical Engineer in York This is a full-time, permanent opportunity covering commercial properties across York and surrounding areas. The main working hours will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Are you seeking a new career within an established FM company?

• Perform both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical building services, this includes general maintenance and inspections, as well as addressing immediate faults and defects.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Responding to and completing reactive maintenance tasks.
• Carrying out legionella control and monitoring activities.
• Using CAFM systems to manage and close out work tickets.
• Working with subcontractors, ensuring their work is monitored and carried out to a high standard.
• Preparing and using method statements and risk assessments for all tasks.
• Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

• The ideal candidate will have around five years of experience as a mechanical engineer in a facilities management environment.
• Must hold a City and Guilds - Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or higher.
• Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, IT, and report-writing skills are essential for this role, as you'll be dealing with various staff, clients, and subcontractors.
• Must pass a DBS check.
