The Regional Hyper-Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a tertiary service which caters for adults with severe complex neurological disability. It is a highly specialised Level 1 service providing interventions across London and the South East. It combines inpatient services with outreach to support community rehabilitation teams and other professionals across the region. It is recognised as one of the UK's leading rehabilitation centres and is a model for good rehabilitation practice across the world.

• Line management and clinical leadership of the Speech and Language Therapy team
• Contributing to the overall leadership of the Regional Hyper-Acute Rehabilitation Unit
• Maintaining a clinical caseload and delivering expert assessment and intervention
• Developing policy and contributing to planning within the RHRU
• Demonstrating leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with other experienced discipline leads
• Working in a collaborative and supportive environment with other disciplines
• Supporting further post-graduate training and development of areas of advanced practice
• Active participation in research and clinical audit projects
• Contributing to national and international training opportunities through RHRU courses and conference study days

• Substantial experience working in neuro-rehabilitation
• Strong analytical, problem solving and therapeutic skills
• Clinical expertise in FEES, VFSS, tracheostomy, AAC and prolonged disorders of consciousness (as relevant to the post)
• Leadership skills and the ability to lead, develop and mentor a team
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues
