A health service provider in Norwich is looking for a Bank Healthcare Support Worker specifically aimed at healthcare students. This role includes monitoring patient conditions and providing essential care. Applicants must have relevant healthcare education or significant prior healthcare experience. The position offers initial training, flexibility, and opportunities to gain experience in various areas, making it ideal for students pursuing careers in healthcare.

Please note depending on your course speciality, your bank shifts may be aligned with the most relevant department to reflect your area of study.
Also, keep in mind this is a HCSW role so many skills that you can practice within a student capacity cannot be practiced whilst on shift working as a healthcare assistant.
You will need enthusiasm, kindness, compassion, and confidence as you will be expected to work with a diverse set of acutely unwell people who each require an individual holistic approach to meet their day-to-day care needs. Daily responsibilities will include:
We will provide uniform and an initial training course to deliver the skills you will need to work in a busy hospital. If you meet the criteria for the shortened induction this will include a eight-hour theory session followed by a minimum of two six-hour supervised shifts working on a ward.
