You will carry out administrative duties and liaise with customers professionally and promptly. An average day as a Bodyshop Estimator…
- Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, estimating vehicles requiring body repairs and paintwork to a high standard.
- Ensure estimates are produced according to Thatcham/Manufacturer methods and are profitable to repair.
- Liaise with Bodyshop Technicians for supplementary orders/parts on ongoing repairs.
- Obtain final authorization for completed repairs, liaising with insurance companies for approval and invoicing.
- Provide insurers with parts/subcontract details for audit purposes when required.
- Assist the Bodyshop Manager with daily operations of the Bodyshop.
About You…
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining calmness to overcome challenges.
- Experience in developing relationships with customers, third-party companies (such as insurance providers), and colleagues.
- Must be Audatex certified.
- Ideally, possess ATA/VDA certification, but not essential.
- Experience with Autoflow is advantageous but not required.
- Driven and determined to maintain a productive, profitable department, with the ability to work under pressure and achieve results through others.
- Passionate about your work, with a positive attitude that comes naturally.
