We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Miller to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-precision components to specification. You will primarily be working on horizontal machining centres using Heidenhain controls.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to carry out precision machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Select, install, and set cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality
- Inspect finished components to ensure conformance to specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Have solid programming experience
- Scharmann Twin Pallet Horizontal - Heidenhain control
- DEPO 1212 Machining Centre - Heidenhain TNC 530
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer
- Strong experience in CNC milling
- Good understanding of machining principles and mechanical processes
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining
- Ability to inspect parts and work accurately to tight tolerances
- Experience using SolidWorks or other CAD software for reading and interpreting drawings
- Experience with Mazak machines (turning)
- Monday to Friday
