Job summary
A leading project management firm is seeking a Project Manager for a fixed-term contract supporting defence-sector programmes. You'll build and manage project plans, lead customer communications, and ensure compliance with defence regulations. The role is remote with required travel, offering an annual salary of £50,000 – £55,000. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Project are essential, along with experience in technical or regulated environments.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to support defence‑sector programmes on a short‑term contract. You’ll lead project delivery, manage subcontractor work packages and ensure all milestones, quality and compliance requirements are met. Remote role with required travel to the island.
- Build and manage project plans, schedules and resources
- Lead customer communication and project reviews
- Manage subcontractor deliverables
- Maintain RAID logs and drive mitigations
- Ensure defence compliance and security requirements
- Monitor budgets and support reportingApply Earned Value Management
- Liaise with engineering teams and manage Technical Queries
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Project
- Experience with schedules, RAID logs, EVM and subcontractor management
- Background in technical / engineering / regulated environments
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance
- Project Management qualification or relevant experience
- Strong leadership
