Senior Backend Engineer — DeFi Trading (Rust/Python)
Job summary
A leading digital assets firm is searching for a Senior Backend Developer located in Leeds, UK. In this hands-on role, you will build and maintain backend services and public APIs using Rust and Python, work closely with smart contracts, and contribute to a high-performance DeFi trading platform. Candidates should have a strong background in Rust and Python, with 3–4+ years of crypto/DeFi experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment.
Qualifications
- 3–4+ years of experience in crypto / DeFi‑native roles.
- Strong experience with backend engineering in Rust and Python.
- Practical experience interacting with Solidity smart contracts.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining backend services and public APIs in Rust and Python.
- Working directly with EVM smart contracts at an application level.
- Contributing to the evolution of a performance‑critical DeFi trading platform.
