Our YouTube channel reaches 30+million viewers each month with imaginative, story-driven Minecraft videos designed for children and young teens. Our mission is to craft entertaining narratives that combine humor, spectacle, and heartfelt moments, keeping our audience engaged week after week.

We’re seeking a part-time Minecraft Blockbuster Animator to join our creative team on a permanent basis. This role is remote (UK-based) and ideal for someone who loves storytelling, YouTube, and Minecraft machinima. You’ll play a key part in our weekly content pipeline, animating and recording multiple shorts per week using Blockbuster / BBS Studio inside Minecraft.

• Animate, record, and deliver 3–4 Minecraft Blockbuster Shorts per week, using BBS Studio to create engaging character performance, camera work, and staging.
• Set up scenes in Minecraft (worlds, characters, props, cameras, paths) based on scripts, outlines, or direction from the team.
• Capture clean, usable footage in the correct formats / aspect ratios for YouTube Shorts and other platforms.
• Collaborate with the wider creative team (writers, editors, voice actors, developers) to ensure short animations align with story beats, production needs, and character arcs.
• Interpret scripts and story outlines visually, suggesting shot ideas, acting choices, and improvements to pacing and clarity.
• Refine animations based on feedback from the director and team, iterating on timing, posing, and camera work as needed.
• Help maintain continuity and character consistency across shorts and longer videos through your animation and staging choices.
• Occasionally generate visual ideas and gags for new shorts, inspired by trends, analytics, and audience feedback.

• Practical experience with Minecraft Blockbuster / BBS Studio and proven experience and examples.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling: camera framing, timing, character animating, and comedic or dramatic beats.
• Solid knowledge of Minecraft mechanics, mods, and how to use them for storytelling, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Passion for YouTube content creation, with an awareness of what keeps viewers watching (especially in Shorts) and how the platform evolves.
• Ability to follow scripts, storyboards, or outlines and turn them into clear, engaging animated sequences.
• Proven experience in animation, machinima, or cinematic Minecraft content (a showreel or portfolio of previous work is highly preferred).
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment (aiming for 3–4 shorts per week).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Based in the UK, with the right to work in the UK.
