A leading financial services firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to enhance its contractor-led sales channel in the UK. The role involves sourcing and activating independent sales contractors to promote the company's solutions. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are essential. This position allows for significant autonomy with remote working options.
Square's mission is to power all the ways small businesses do business, helping UK merchants operate more efficiently, grow confidently, and unlock new opportunities. As we expand our contractor‑led sales channel, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to source, attract, and activate a growing network of self‑employed independent sales contractors who will champion Square's hardware and software solutions in the field. In this role, you will own the front end of our contractor ecosystem—identifying high‑potential individuals, presenting the Square opportunity, and ensuring they are set up for success from day one. You'll combine hands‑on outbound activity with strategic pipeline management, building a robust community of motivated sales partners who can drive new merchant adoption. This is a dynamic, field‑facing position requiring a strong commercial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence independent professionals. Some regional and national travel should be expected. Reporting to the Channel Sales Lead, this role offers remote working within the UK.
