Our client was founded in 2017 with a single passionate goal — to address the gap in the market for reliable and efficient generator solutions.
They are now seeking a skilled Electrical Solutions Engineer to join their expanding field-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with premium generator systems and receive manufacturer-led training on platforms such as ComAp, DEIF, MTU, Kohler, and Jenbacher.
They offer a clear pathway to Senior or Commissioning Engineer level, along with strong earning potential through overtime and callouts.

They’re looking for an experienced field-based electrical engineer with a solid background in the installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of diesel generator systems, switchgear, and control systems. You’ll be confident working independently on customer sites across the UK, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
- 5+ years’ experience in power generation or electrical engineering
- Proven experience installing, servicing, commissioning, and fault-finding generator systems
- Working knowledge of ComAp, DeepSea, or DEIF controllers and basic PLC / HMI interfaces
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- CSCS / ECS or Safety Passport (desirable)
- Mechanical knowledge of fuel, cooling, or exhaust systems (advantageous)
- Calm and methodical under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel and take part in the on-call rota
- Self-motivated, dependable, and focused on high-quality workmanship
- A strong communicator who represents the business with integrity and professionalism
- Deliver installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reactive support for generator systems across the UK
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate documentation and service reports
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on-site
- Lead projects when required, coordinating with subcontractors and mentoring junior engineers
- Support process improvements and uphold safety and quality standards
