Delivering that Superdrug Feeling is at the heart of what we do. The PR Manager is responsible for managing the day to day delivery of Health, Beauty and Corporate PR, ensuring all outputs align with our wider Customer Strategy. The PR manager will also work closely with agencies to bring campaigns to life, working closely with internal teams to ensure success across a variety of metrics. This role acts as a guardian of the Superdrug brand and must be able to demonstrate agility and creativity as customer expectations continue to change and evolve. The PR manager will be a brand ambassador, always working to evolve the Superdrug brand fan network, maximizing PR opportunities.

A typical day in this role includes:

• Day to day management of PR at Superdrug, working within agreed budgets and timeline. This can vary from working closely on the press office schedule to delivering events and campaign activity. Ensure all Healthcare and Beauty PR activities align with brand guidelines and commercial priorities.


• Organise & attend weekly status meetings with Healthcare and Beauty PR agencies to review focusses and outputs to ensure all activity aligns with customer and wider business strategy


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with marketing and commercial teams. Ensure close working relationships to keep up to date with activity that PR can capitalize on for the wider business.


• Support the growth of Own Brands and exclusives at Superdrug through PR initiatives and activity. This includes supporting with events, gifting and wider launch plans or commercial focuses where appropriate.


• Leading of the Spotlight influencer network. This includes recruiting new content creators, and innovating ways that the network can raise their profiles and the Spotlight network becomes a known community amongst brand fans and consumers.


• Actively demonstrate how you drive innovation in PR and Influencer opportunities


• Ensure the delivery of any instore PR activity is well organized, well communicated and delivers the required outcomes. Manage communications between external agencies/brands and internal teams to deliver smooth activation with strong PR outputs.


• Review and provide feedback on all agency outputs to meet expected KPI's and measures of success, ensuring the balance between media, broadcast and social coverage is split appropriately. Ensure that sentiment and sales data is included to demonstrate impact.


• Manage the PR cost sheets to support accurate financial management.


• Support the execution of the Corporate PR, with a focus on ESG and Charity partnerships. This will include but is not limited to the successful delivery of Beauty Banks in store and supporting any campaign activity with our lead charity partner, Marie Curie.


• Completing weekly / monthly reporting as required by the wider business, including Group requests


• Showcase PR and its impact internally and externally across @superdrugpr, the corporate website, main channels and the corporate website. Working closely with internal comms to engage the business in PR activity and events

Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
