What you'll be doing:
You will work closely with the General Catering Manager and Front of House Teams to organize and supervise the unit, ensuring standards set by Compass Group UK & Ireland, the contract, and statutory regulations are met. Your responsibilities include managing resources efficiently, preparing and serving food to standard, and maintaining quality service.
More about the role:
- Deliver contractual terms and communicate site changes to line management
- Maintain regular communication with clients
- Complete action plans following client satisfaction surveys
- Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate
- Ensure high standards of client hospitality and seek opportunities to upsell
- Implement company promotions and price products accordingly
- Identify additional opportunities and discuss with line management
- Ensure retail areas are well-stocked and customer requirements are met
- Manage costs, monitor GP, and ensure budget adherence
- Record and minimize food wastage
- Coordinate with departments for effective planning
- Manage labor schedules within budget, minimizing agency and overtime costs
Who you are:
- Experienced in food service and management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Results-oriented with leadership qualities
- Understanding of customer needs
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
- Operational experience in conference and banqueting
- Computer literate
- Basic Food Hygiene certification
- At least 3 years catering experience
- Financial acumen
