A leading supermarket chain in the UK seeks an individual to support product development within the chilled range. This role involves managing existing and new product development processes, ensuring timely completion, and applying market analysis to enhance product quality. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, knowledge of the bakery market, and strong stakeholder engagement skills, along with a competitive benefits package including holidays and discounts.
We're looking for someone to come and support all product development activity within the various categories of our chilled range. You will ensure the Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) end to end processes are completed on time and in full. You’ll be part of the full Concept to Launch Process, analysing category data to define areas of opportunity for Myton Food Group, keeping abreast of the market to ensure Morrisons products are best in class, and carrying out regular benchmarking sessions to ensure targets are being adhered to. The role is primarily based at our Wakefield (Bakery) manufacturing site, with occasional meetings at the Myton Head Office (Bradford) and visits to other sites and suppliers. There may also be occasional weekend work during peak season.
First and foremost you will have a passion for food and an eye for detail. You will have knowledge of the bakery market ideally and experience working within the food development process. You will have great relationship building skills, being able to connect and work with many stakeholders across the business with the ability to influence. Enthusiasm and drive to deliver results with commercial judgement is also key.
