Senior QS – Social Housing Refurb & Maintenance
Job summary
A leading construction contractor in Manchester is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to manage commercial aspects of social housing contracts. This pivotal role involves leading projects from tender to final account while ensuring budgets are met and risks managed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social housing refurbishment or maintenance with excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team environment. This role offers an opportunity for mentorship and growth within the company.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at a senior level.
- Strong background in Social Housing - refurbishment or maintenance contracts.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of social housing contracts from tender through to final account.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget, with risk effectively managed.
- Prepare and manage monthly valuations, cost reports & forecasting.
