Descripción de la vacante
A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee their Quality Management System at their Basildon facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the rail industry or related fields and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and managing all quality issues. This is a full-time onsite role with a competitive salary of up to £55k. The position offers great opportunities for professional growth and development, focusing on quality improvement projects.
Formación
- Experience in quality management within a factory or electrical engineering environment.
- Background in the rail industry or similar is ideal.
- Ability to manage audits and quality issues.
Responsabilidades
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Oversee finished product inspection and testing.
- Lead internal and customer quality audits.
- Manage quality improvement projects.
Conocimientos
An experienced Quality Manager is urgently required within a factory / electrical engineering equipment environment. A background from the rail industry or similar (e.g. network rail) is ideal.
This role is ONSITE (not hybrid)
- All day-to-day compliance allowing for the strategic development and progression of the business.
- Fully responsible for the Quality Management System, including Key point of contact for all quality issues.
- Full responsibility for finished product inspection and testing, ensuring full compliance with company and customer expectations.
- Take the lead for regular focused Quality Meetings.
- Lead and manage PPAPs as required.
- Take the lead and manage calibration as required.
- Take the lead, plan, manage and support audits: carry out internal audits, handle customer quality audits.
- Represent the company during supplier quality audits.
- Represent the company during ISO9001 audits, and ensure full compliance with all requirements.
- Initiate or raise NCRs or G8Ds for all quality failures, or where appropriate.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and progressing quality improvement projects and processes.
- Work towards the Company gaining accreditation and approval in terms of ISO.
