Salary: £32,070 to £42,699 per annum. Plus £3,300 market premia payment for Level 3 Social Workers.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 Hours Per Week

Contract Type: Permanent

We have funding for Social Workers to join our busy Learning Disabilities and Autism (LD&A) team in the Hinckley team. This is a permanent full-time position and would particularly suit experienced Social Workers with a background working with this service user group, though applications from other suitable candidates are also welcome.

About the Role

The team is knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, with a wealth of contacts and experience amongst the extensive LD&A community and provider network within Hinckley. They have weekly Group Supervision Meetings to promote the best possible outcomes for the people we work with. All staff benefit from regular manager supervision, manageable workloads and support from specialist teams within the department (such as finance or legal services).

We provide a comprehensive induction package with ongoing access to bespoke learning and development opportunities. This includes tailored continuous professional development sessions; opportunities for supported further qualifications and access to academic research and practice expertise to develop skills, experience and inform our employee’s practice.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
  • Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, complex safeguarding, court of protection and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
  • Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
  • Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
  • Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
  • Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle

We also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
