Who You Are:

You are the Head of Technical Accounting for the Financial Department, responsible for all the accounting operations.

What You'll Do:

• Technical accounting expert within the Group
  • Serve as the subject matter expert within the Group for all accounting judgements and complexities, focusing on:
    • Revenue accounting applying IFRS 15 to complex customer contracts
    • Accounting for capital projects applying IAS 16/38
    • Accounting for the Group's M&A activity, including acquisition accounting and accounting for divestments.
  • Provide accounting advisory to commercial, operational, and other teams in advance of contracts being agreed to advise on accounting implications of proposed agreements.
  • Prepare accounting analysis to serve as the Group's accounting papers to justify and support the Group's accounting conclusions.
• Ownership of accounting policies of the Eutelsat Group
  • Maintain and update the Group Consolidation Manual
  • Lead on the evaluation and assessment of the Group's accounting policies in response to changes in accounting standards and other developments.
• Managing and working effectively with external advisors and auditors
  • Proactively manage external auditors (including where relevant across the Group's global jurisdictions).
  • Manage and work productively with the Group's external advisors where relevant.
• Contribute to the production of the Group's external reporting, including annual and interim financial statements
  • Provide technical guidance on reporting requirements, including information required for disclosure in the financial statements.

What it Takes:

• 8+ years of experience in accounting in an international environment
• Master's degree in finance/accounting/economics
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management
