We are recruiting an experienced and motivated HGV Technician to join our thriving business as a Yard Technician. You will be responsible for repairs and inspections of our HGV vehicles and trailers on our yard.

This role, based at our new Superhub in Hinckley, offers an opportunity to be part of the UK's leading parcel delivery business.

You will report to the Workshop Manager and be a key team member. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing minor repairs on DPD’s fleet of Mercedes Benz tractor and trailer units.
• Conducting mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or knowledge of yellow goods repairs. Qualifications should include Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or be a time-served technician. Knowledge of working on Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo, and Renault vehicles is preferred.

You should embody DPD’s core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability. An IRTECH license is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

Upon joining, you will undergo a comprehensive induction, including attendance at our Corporate Induction. An LGV Class 1 Driving License is desirable but not mandatory.
