A dynamic family-owned business in Preston is seeking an Engineering Inventory & Stock Controller to oversee spare parts and tool inventory management. The role involves managing supplier relations, ensuring stock availability, and maintaining compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Candidates should have experience in engineering stores, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in MS Excel. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in a key operational role.
Qualifications
- Experience of working within a store's role in an engineering department is essential.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing is desirable.
- Hold a counterbalance FLT certificate is desirable.
Responsabilités
- Conduct regular and accurate stock takes of engineering stores.
- Manage ordering, receipt, and tracking of spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers.
- Perform pricing audits for better cost management.
