A leading energy company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Surveyor/Surveyor to oversee land rights and acquisitions for infrastructure projects. In this hybrid position, you will coordinate with diverse teams to deliver essential electrical assets in compliance with legal standards. The role offers a competitive salary range between £48,000 - £67,000, a market supplement of £3,000, and comprehensive benefits including generous leave and a pension scheme.
Join us and be part of the largest overhaul of the electricity grid in generations.
As the UK moves away from fossil fuels and increases clean energy generation, we’ll all be using more electricity than ever before. Demand for electricity is expected to increase by 50% by 2035 and double by 2050, as we decarbonise the energy that’s used for things like heating and transport.
So significant new infrastructure is needed to connect this clean energy from where it’s generated to where it’s needed. That’s why we’re seeking a Senior Surveyor / Surveyor to lead on the development and delivery of new infrastructure projects within our Land Teams.
You’ll be part of a diverse land team providing expert land rights and acquisitions services required for new electrical assets for National Grid. This will be in accordance with current legislation and guidance, best practice and procedure, to ensure National Grid adheres to its licence obligations.
We need people with the skills and enthusiasm to help deliver for our customers today and build an energy network that’s fit for the future. In return we can offer you the chance to make a real impact at work.
This role offers hybrid working from office and home. Our Head Office is based in Warwick, and we have office hubs in Leeds, Birmingham and London.
You’ll be flexible to travel to offices and project sites around North Wales, therefore a base location in Wales is preferable.
National Grid Strategic Infrastructure is a Business Unit created to propel our grid forward to deliver in 5 years, what has been achieved in the previous 30. By 2030 we aim to have 17 new major infrastructure projects live across England, Scotland and Wales.
Here at National Grid, we connect homes and businesses to power, making sure supply and demand match each other. We make sure the lights are on in schools, operating theatres, and sporting arenas; we’re thousands of people working on behalf of millions of people.
Our investment in Strategic Infrastructure via The Great Grid Upgrade will mean more home‑grown power, greater energy security and a cleaner future.
Whatever your role, wherever you work with us, you’ll help us hit stretching targets and achieve our far‑reaching goal: to secure, clean energy that supports our world far into the future. Here, you will be at the heart of energy.
This role closes on 16 January 2026 at 23:59, however we encourage candidates to submit their application as early as possible and not wait until the published closing date as this can vary.
