This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. This role typically reports into the Finance Manager.
This will be a varied role, which will require the role holder to carry out ledger clerk duties amongst other varied finance tasks.
- Coding and processing of invoices on to coins
- Prepare mid-month/end of month subcontractor payment runs
- Ensure all CIS and insurance details are correct and updated accordingly
- Maintenance of ledger accounts
- Opening of new supplier accounts in accordance with the Persimmon Plc internal controls
- Working closely with the commercial team
- Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager
- Experience in a similar accounting role
- A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial
- Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
- Experience of using Microsoft applications especially Excel
- Must be organised, diligent and able to work under pressure
