Ferring+You
You will contribute to the definition, development and management of a planning and management control system able to ensure the company achieves its business results, through the coordination of the budgeting process, the collection, assessment and analysis of results, and support the interpretation and making of decisions. The role reports to the country Finance Director.
Your day at Ferring
Period end closing and reporting:
Ensure key controlling task and analytical processes in our month closing (e.g Purchase order accruals, right postings and accuracy and other ensuring high quality)
Perform analytical review
Perform Internal Controls
Costing: Perform variance analysis
Support FD to analyse Transfer price schemes in coordination with CoE (Lisbon) and FD.
Inventory management and validation:
Coordinate with supply chain accuracy for the forecasting process in coordination with the business, FD and Regional SNO team.
Provide financial advice about the potential financial effects of not having the product supplies on time. Help build back up plans in coordination with logistics
Financial budgeting and planning:
Contribute to achieving financial ambitious goals and targets; and challenge budget of other departments and of other organizational units if applicable
Forecast P&L and cash flow
Coordinate with the FD budget, forecast, business plan processes
Ensure high level of forecast financial accuracy and meet working capital targets.
Projects and improvements:
Support Regional WEC/HQ/Corporate Finance in the implementation of corporate Finance programs, processes or procedures which are to be locally applied.
Contribute to performance management and drive continuous improvement initiatives e.g. propose standardized and coordinated use of financial information systems, identify and propose optimization measures
Management reporting and forecasting:
Prepare period financial forecast
Analyse on a monthly basis product P&Ls and ensure and heads up as needed the right allocations vs planned.
Evaluate financial performance by advise and challenge the business with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, financial impacts and risks; provide management information to other departments; inform timely on any unexpected issue impacting potentially the financial performance of the Country and Area, propose/implement corrective actions; identify areas of improvement in business and organization and propose implementation plan, monitor key ratios; identify & implement synergies across the country; propose efficiency improvement measures
Compliance and integrity:
Strict implementation and adherence to internal guidelines (ICS matrix), instructions, processes and systems, local as well as global
Contribute in internal audits and external in the controlling area.
Strict adherence to the local fiscal and finance related regulations of the respective country
Risk management: Inform relevant parties timely on potential issues, assess the risks and propose corrective measures
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the CoE in all accounting and analytical processes.
Collaborate with SDM’s to ensure smooth service delivery
Collaborate with GPO to work on continuous process improvements
Collaborate with BPO to ensure a smooth relationship and a seamless delivery of the in-scope finance activities
Finance strategy and business partnering:
Advise and challenge business with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, financial impacts and risks.
Provide Management Information to other departments
Inform timely on any unexpected issue impacting potentially the financial performance of the Country and Area.
Propose/implement corrective actions.
Identify areas of improvement in business and organization and propose implementation plan.
Monitor key ratios.
Behind our innovation…There is you
University master’s degree in finance or economics
ACCA / CIMA / ACA
7 years’ experience in finance and at least 2 years’ working experience as finance analyst in a multinational environment
Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
Accomplishes goal and meets deadlines in a self-directed manner and with strong attention to detail, contributing to team objectives
Organises and manages multiple priorities and projects, including concurrent demands and resource limitations
Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills
Possesses strong IT skills (MS Office, Teams, business software applications such as SAP)
