A leading manufacturing business in the UK is seeking a Finance Controller to oversee all financial operations of the plant, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting, relevant certifications, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector. The role offers a competitive salary of £70,000 to £80,000, along with a performance bonus and the possibility of a company car.

- ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- At least 5 years' Finance or Accounting experience, ideally with exposure in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory control.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Excel/BI tool proficiency (Power BI, Hyperion, etc.).
- Cross‑functional collaboration experience partnering with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, explaining key drivers.
- Maintain accurate standard costing systems and ensure proper updates for materials, labour, and overhead.
- Analyse cost variances and identify root causes.
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions, reporting, and inventory management.
- Supervise and develop finance staff within the plant.

- Annual salary will be circa £70,000 to £80,000
