MWH Treatment is experiencing significant growth, and we are looking to strengthen our Programme Team with the recruitment of a Planning Manager for our Thames region.

This role will primarily be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring the Planning Team. The Planning Manager will serve as the technical expert, enhancing the team’s skillset and leading by example in creating high-quality project programmes.

• Support Project Managers and Project Teams across the business to deliver high-quality programmes that facilitate efficient project delivery.
• Create detailed Primavera P6 programmes that meet project requirements and develop P6 templates aligned with client expectations.
• Develop and maintain project plans using reliable project management methodologies, ensuring baseline scheduling accuracy.
• Manage the planning team, including workload balancing, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
• Provide technical expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and related planning activities.
• Develop project, programme, and framework-level reports to improve business planning insights using PowerBI and similar tools.
• Coordinate between the regional planning team and the Head of Planning.

Essential Experience

• Extensive project planning experience.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for monitoring and controlling project deviations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Relevant professional qualifications and certifications.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting software.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Academic qualifications in construction or infrastructure-related subjects.
• Experience in the water industry or infrastructure sector.
• Personnel line management experience.
• Project management and delivery experience.
• Experience working in consultancy or client-facing environments.
