We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This exciting role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding the local market, and providing excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. Candidates should possess good product knowledge of all meat proteins, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures (including record-keeping), managing fresh and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate with the Store Manager to develop a business plan aimed at increasing sales and profitability of your department.
Your duties will also encompass greeting and advising customers, processing orders, managing stock and stocktaking, leading a small team (including staff rotas), cutting meat to order, maintaining tools and equipment, coordinating deliveries or pickups, and controlling waste.
