We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering small to medium-sized projects, leading engineering teams, and ensuring quality and technical excellence in electrical services design.
- Managing project finances and resources
- Leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Participating in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
- Preparing fee estimates, design programs, and liaising with clients
- Conducting quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings
- Developing technical specifications
- Contributing to engineering budgets and schedules
- Using software packages for electrical design, including BIM software
- Successful track record in electrical services design
- Experience as a Senior or Principal Engineer
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IET)
- Proficiency with electrical design software and BIM
- Experience in healthcare facility projects (preferred)
- Honours degree accredited by CIBSE, IET, or IMechE
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with extensive postgraduate experience
