CAD Technician: As-Built & Electrical Drawings Specialist
Job summary
A project services firm seeks a CAD Technician to support the UKPN ED1SON Alliance Project in Stevenage. The role involves preparing and updating as-built drawings in AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in producing drawings for civil or electrical projects, with a strong attention to detail and collaboration skills. The position offers a rate of up to £300 per day for an expected duration of 4-6 weeks, likely to extend.
Qualifications
- Experience with utility or electrical network drawings is an advantage.
- Previous experience producing as-built drawings for civil or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with UKPN standards or other DNO/utility project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update as-built drawings in AutoCAD.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and field sketches.
- Maintain accurate drawing registers and documentation control.
- Ensure compliance with UKPN specifications and CAD standards.
- Liaise with design engineers and project managers.
