An industrial recycling firm in the UK is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee Electrical Technicians and contractual staff. The role involves maintaining compliance with legislation, assessing plant defects, and providing electrical support to ensure efficiency and safety. Essential qualifications include 18 Edition IEE wiring regulations, testing certifications, and knowledge of health and safety. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day‑to‑day organisation and supervision of site Electrical Technicians as well as contractual staff, to achieve an efficient maintenance function, while adhering to all relevant legislation as applicable to a top tier COMAH site. As required, the Electrical Supervisor will deputise for the Maintenance Manager during holidays or other absences as required.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the provision of all electrical support to the Ops & Engineering teams, ensuring work is completed in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company's policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment and that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency.
