A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking dedicated professionals to join their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role involves contributing to a full shift system in critical care, managing approximately 6-700 admissions per year. Candidates should have relevant training and experience in paediatric care, with a commitment to provide exceptional service. Based on PICU you will be involved in critical care paediatrics. The PICU has 6 beds and the PHDU 6 beds, with 400 admissions per year. Our retrieval service transports around 100 children per year. Training in Paediatric Intensive Care is given. The opportunities for research, audit, education and training are excellent. The PICU at QMC admits approximately 6‑700 patients per year and is a specialist unit for Nephrology, Major trauma, Neurosurgery, Oncology, and Spinal surgery, supporting patients with medical conditions. Surgical care is provided for children with complex neonatal problems, neurosurgery, ENT, general and spinal surgery. Currently, over 80 % of admissions require at least Level 2 care and patients are equally distributed between medical and surgical specialties. All paediatric specialties, other than cardiac surgery, are supported by PICU.
You will contribute to a Critical Care full shift system with out of hours cover dedicated to PICU.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
