Your role as R&D Tax Senior Manager

• Leading technical and financial discussions with clients to identify qualifying R&D activity
• Reviewing and signing off technical reports and claim calculations
• Managing and mentoring a team, developing their skills and confidence
• Overseeing multiple R&D claims simultaneously, ensuring quality and compliance
• Working closely with tax colleagues, HMRC and external stakeholders
• Playing a key role in business development, marketing and thought leadership

This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, leadership and commercial growth.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Deep experience in UK R&D tax relief and claim preparation
• Confidence dealing with senior client stakeholders (MDs, FDs, CEOs, CTOs)
• Strong people leadership and coaching capability
• Commercial mindset with an interest in growing fees and opportunities
• Excellent communication skills – able to simplify complex ideas
• A proactive, ownership‑driven approach
