About the Role:
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Reasoning ML team, you will lead the creation and management of datasets and data pipelines for machine learning-driven autonomous planning. Your contributions will support the development and deployment of robust driving policies, using real-world and synthetic data to train and evaluate AV systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for training and validating ML models
  • Generate and curate datasets for behavior prediction and planning tasks
  • Use Oxa MetaDriver to create synthetic data and simulate driving behavior
  • Build cloud infrastructure to support experimentation and continuous deployment
  • Create performance metrics and monitoring systems for models in production
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, AI, and robotics teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team hiring
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure data integrity in mission-critical systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ML data engineering or robotics
  • Strong Python skills and knowledge of data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
  • Expertise in data pipelines, ML model evaluation, and dataset management
  • Proven experience leading and delivering technical projects
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to responsible AI development

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle datasets (e.g., Waymo, nuScenes, Argoverse)
  • Background in robotics or fielded autonomous systems
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and MLOps workflows
  • Previous contributions to industry publications or technical talks
