A large Manufacturing Company based on the outskirts in Blackpool are looking to recruit a tenacious, driven Accounts Assistant to work on a full-time, permanent basis from their head office in Lancashire. Reporting directly into the FD, you will have the ability to problem solve, communicate and common sense and good attitude is Key!

The Role:

• Day to day running of the Purchase Ledger including processing invoices, coding and matching against purchase orders and obtaining the relevant approval.
• Preparing and processing payment runs. Cash/bank postings are done daily and monthly bank reconciliations and maintaining petty cash.
• Communicating with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Assisting with month end reporting
• Preparing Balance Sheet, Fixed Asset and AR/AP reconciliations.
• VAT reporting, Cash flow and P&L
• Maintaining the payroll system - DESIRABLE NOT ESSENTIAL.
• Deal with customers queries, cash allocation and credit control as well as general administrative duties such as answering the telephone, filing, office duties and stationery purchases.

What do you need as an Accounts Assistant

As a strong Accounts Assistant you will demonstrate the ability to build strong sustainable relationships quickly.

• Proficient user of MS Excel
• A self-starter and be able to work effectively as both part of a team and independently, requiring limited supervision
