YOUR ROLE | KEY PRIORITIES
- Proactively manage the end-to-end Customer relationships, i.e. from prospect through to start of activity, development of the relationship and new opportunities, providing quotes upon request, issuing of invoices and following up to ensure timely payment, and the release of containers at the end of the process.
- Delivery of excellent customer service to all customers at each touch point throughout the process
- Analyse, benchmark and report on market conditions and activities
- Monitor purchase, sale & stocks of containers
- Ensuring close working relationships with Depot Maintenance & Repair team to ensure stock levels and optimal sales cycle (i.e. gate in / repair / neutralization / release)
Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Identifying and building relationships with potential new customers, in support of business growth targets
- Manage the integration of new customers in the system through the collection of Customer Data and relevant information
- Provide quotations to customer within agreed SLA’s, following up as required to ensure optimal service and opportunities
- To assist with planned Sales and Marketing campaigns to boost commercial performance
- To assist in production of monthly market reports
- Regular contact with CCIS Europe teams on all sales matters
- Create sales orders and maintain them within inhouse system, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- To make sure that the customers are aware of all charges and all chargeable events are notified and billed accurately.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure timely payments and resolution of queries as they arise
- Monitor and report on stock levels on a daily basis
- Arrange customs clearance for all units purchased
- Update stocks & tariffs on identified marketplaces
- Support the development of digital presence of CCIS UK, boosting visibility of the brand and services
- Develop knowledge of Europe global containers sales market and be available to assist on these markets as and when required.
- To issue to all internal and external sales staff all freight tariffs / rate sheets / surcharges and amendments as guided by CCIS Europe cluster
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Demonstrable experience in Sales within the Shipping, Transport or Logistics industry would be a huge advantage
- Excellent analytical skills, able to collate and analyse data and information with high attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with high levels of resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability and confidence to work autonomously and proactively
- Excellent IT skills, with strong experience of MS Excel and Powerpoint in particular
- A full UK driving license
