Job summary

Radiology MDT Navigator/Coordinator

An exciting position has become available within the Radiology department for an MDT Coordinator. The post holder will be part of a highly skilled administrative team whose responsibilities are to support the clinical services within the radiology department in managing the daily demand and to effectively prioritise incoming referrals into urgent and non-urgent.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will operationally act as the Radiology MDT Coordinator by effectively managing 2WW ring-fenced slots in the radiology department; solely for the utilisation of the cancer pathway patients. This role will be specific in attending MDT & PTL and other meetings as required, taking live minutes, tracking cancer patients through their pathway, liaising with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring that data is processed in a timely and effective way.

You will also support and attend the tumour site patient tracking meetings through the preparation of patient tracking lists, capturing of actions and following up progress via agreed escalation protocols.

The successful candidate will need to be assertive, confident, flexible and able to work under pressure. Attention to detail, a keen eye for data quality check and a comprehensive understanding of the MRI, CT, Ultrasound modality and knowledge of clinical system such as Cerner, Soliton, IEP and Somerset is essential for this role.

The post holder will be required to provide cross cover to MDT meetings which may require you to travel across sites.
