Do you have strong organisational skills, confidence working with sensitive information, and a passion for supporting vulnerable children and families

HCRG Care Group are seeking a compassionate and highly organised Safeguarding Coordinator to support both the Safeguarding and Children in Care teams, providing high quality administrative and coordination support to ensure services meet contractual standards, statutory responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.

You will deliver a comprehensive, efficient, and confidential administrative service to both teams, helping them operate effectively and professionally. This includes managing sensitive information in line with organisational data protection and information governance policies.

The role requires confident communication and collaboration with a wide range of internal health professionals and external multi‑agency partners such as local authorities, GP services, police, ICBs/CCGs, safeguarding boards, and NHS England. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, remain focused, and demonstrate resilience when faced with routine challenges.

This is a part‑time opportunity, working core hours of 9 am – 5 pm across 3 days per week, with some flexibility to work from home.

Main duties of the job

What you’ll do

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support across Safeguarding and Children in Care services.
  • Act as a first point of contact for enquiries, often involving sensitive or complex information.
  • Organise meetings, training, and events, including minute‑taking and preparing papers.
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Support the tracking of Children in Care health assessments and safeguarding supervision activity.
  • Work closely with health professionals, local authorities, and wider multi‑agency partners.
  • Collate data and produce reports to support KPIs and service requirements.
About you
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise, multitask, and work independently.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with confidential information and coordinating multiple tasks.
  • Calm under pressure, resilient, and able to work with emotionally sensitive issues.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity, and information governance.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
